Sometimes life taps us on the shoulder and says, “something needs to change.” You know that feeling of wanting to get unstuck? It’s like there’s a door that won’t open, or you’re just treading water when you really want to move forward. That feeling can be especially hard to tolerate for us as high functioning “doers.” Human nature is built on our desire to survive, but as evolved people, more often than not, we all have this innate desire to not just survive but get the most we can out of life. We want to thrive beyond the limits of our circumstances. As your therapist, I’m here to sit with you, hear you, and help you build your own version of success. My goal is to help you bring your values, your dreams, and the stuff that makes you *you* to the forefront as you create your best life.
And this really truly is about you getting the space you need to envision and understand your world and how you want it to be. My job as a therapist is to empower you to do you in the most authentic way possible. Your story matters and I am so honored to be present for you at this point in your life. Whether you are dealing with feelings of depression and anxiety (which are common signals our brain sends us to listen closely and with extra care), facing questions and uncertainty around your identity and self-perception, struggling with balancing body image or relationship with food/health, or getting caught up in perfectionistic and over-controlled habits, I can help you recognize patterns that no longer feel helpful, explore your true self, and build new ways of living this thing we call life. Self-inquiry and creating change aren’t always easy, but speaking personally, life is so much richer when we decide to take the leap into our personal work.
