My story
Born in Montana and raised in California, my life is filled with stories and layers that might not match the peaceful life I’m proud to have built over the years. All I can say is it hasn’t come easy, but it’s been worth it! I’m a wife to my husband Michael and a momma to our wonderful boy/girl twins. They are my world. From the beginning, I’ve lived for the relationships around me. I’ve worn many hats over the years, including those of a daughter, sister, friend, student, volunteer, and so many others, which have helped me understand myself and where my clients come from. There is much to connect with on a human level through shared experiences.
Since before I ever pursued my passion for helping people as a formal career, I’ve lived life as a helper. Over the course of my life, I began to notice that everyone, from the local associate at my grocery store to community members, would take the time to point out my nature for supporting people around me. Their comments were so generous and humbling, and I felt they were true to my heart. I am so grateful to be a helper, and it’s the absolute force behind my desire to be a coach to support and empower others’ lives. There is so much beautiful capacity in us all, and I love bringing that out in my clients.
It’s not uncommon that I meet someone and quickly learn something they have never shared with anyone before. I can’t tell you how honored I am to be in their safe space and watch my past experiences become my gift to share with the world.
My desire to help others comes from my time in therapy over the years. For as long as I can remember, I’ve had this deep conviction that I won’t compromise to fit in. I’ve stood my ground confidently on many things I felt deep in my soul I could not abandon. This has created some lonely seasons (like crushingly lonely). Brene Brown says, "Where we don't feel belonging, there is always suffering." I’ve had a lifetime goal to know my true self apart from the million ways we are conditioned through our upbringing and life experiences.
I’ve noticed that a significant underlying theme in my clients is that many of them are stepping into a space where they are braving, or about to brave, a new season of life and are looking for someone to help them stay clear and true on their most authentic self and path. I have an extra tender place in my heart for extra tender developmental seasons like professional mothers who are braving dual demands and dual pressures in their most authentic way and professionals who are emerging into a new stage of life and want a conscientious approach to building a life that feels true to them.
Together, we can make space to transcend the fears and challenges and focus on what sets your soul on fire. As a certified life coach, I help people unlock their full potential and live their best lives. While based in the Kansas City area, I meet virtually with my clients nationwide.
My training.
In 2017, I became a Certified Professional Coach (CPC) and Energy Leadership™ Index Master Practitioner (ELI-MP). At the beginning of 2018, I launched my coaching business. Since 2003, I have volunteered with various non-profits, including Young Life, that support young adults in transitional phases of life. My passion has always been to give the energy and support I craved in those formative years.
I continue to learn from our team of therapists and psychologists with weekly consultation and learning hours in addition to recent trainings such as:
Gottman Method Couples Therapy Level 1 Training | The Gottman Institute
Educated in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction | Center of Mindfulness at UCSan Diego
Educated in Polyvagal Theory Principles | Polyvagal Institute
(and many more to come as I always look to surround you with support!)
My commitment.
My commitment is to believe in you with my whole heart and take the time to honor the story you are writing. I believe you are meant to live an abundant life, and most importantly, I believe it’s possible for you. I come to you with my authentic self, bringing imperfection, curiosity and humility to the table to provide a safe space for you to explore who you are and where you want to be. Together, we’ll get clear on what it looks like to live intentionally every day, joyfully every hour, and passionately every moment. I can’t wait to join you in this journey.
So what’s coaching all about?
Coaching is where we build on the foundations of therapy to honor the feeling you’re looking to bring into your life, with guidance and creative approaches.
The technical definition of coaching is “partnering with clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential” (International Coaching Federation).
It’s helpful to know that coaching is not therapy or counseling, consulting, or mentoring. Coaching won’t look at your past experiences to help you overcome them, or provide recommendations or examples based on other’s experiences. The basis of coaching is that you start in a good place but want to make it better and our work is based on what fills your cup.
ENERGY LEADERSHIP™ COACHING
We all view the world through certain lenses, based on life experience, upbringing, and values. These filters often develop subconsciously, and they affect the way we interact with others or perceive situations.
As an Energy Leadership™ coach, I provide my clients the Energy Leadership Index (ELI), which identifies these personal filters and how they affect their lives. Energy can be an intangible factor, but the incorporation of this assessment into our coaching enables us to measure progress.

MY COACHING PROCESS
My most successful clients commit to meet with me weekly for the first several months. From there, we can evaluate our meeting regularity. Some clients taper to meetings once or twice a month, but we’ll determine what’s best for you!
Starting with several months of weekly coaching ensures we lay the necessary groundwork and build momentum for you to effectively achieve your goals.
The coaching process is unique for each client, but each engagement involves absolutes.
Here is what you can expect from your coaching process:
Articulate what you want, when you want it and how you want it. We’ll identify your goals and objectives in this first step.
Unlock barriers to moving forward. These barriers, called Core Energy Blocks, drain you of the motivation to strive toward what you want. Become aware of these blocks to remap your route to success.
Identify your values. Clearly understanding your values and how they are being honored or neglected is key to reducing stress in any area of your life.
Gain clarity. Distractions bring confusion to our thoughts, feelings and emotions. We will work to define your story to bring clarity and focus to your life.
Understand and reduce stress. A core component of Energy Leadership Coaching is gaining awareness of stress and learning how to manage stress triggers.
Create balance. We will prioritize all of your competing responsibilities and find the balance you desire.
Find or refine purpose. Wherever we focus in your life — college, career, relationships — you will define your purpose.
